Christmas Day was kind a busy for us,  but we like it in this way. We are glad, that for lunch could join us sister Philothea (91). It’s amazing how bright she is in her age. And she is careful not to eat much. Late afternoon was our traditional Czech Christmas Party. We welcomed 17 guests. Key part is always singing about 15 Czech carols,

and small piano recital of young pianists. Our guests were so kind, and brought also various delicious goodies.

Almost all activities today had one goal: Christmas Eve. It was nice weather, cold but even with sunshine. Afternoon I prepared our traditional dinner: potato salad, mushrom soup, and fried fish (orange raffi). Day before my wife put straw ornamentsand little Czech dolls, but only few of them from her huge collection. It looks balanced and fabulous. I did not do any statistics, but I would say majority of gifts were books, which makes me happy.
