FRC – FIRST Robotics Competition

FIRST – For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology – is project founded by Dean Kamen, inventor and entrepreneur. It’s mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. Part of the project are robotics programs, including FRC – FIRST Robotics Competition for young people ages 14 – 18. There will be four regional competition in Minnesota in 2012, see .
