Scalable Video Coding

Scalable Video Coding (SVC) is the name for the Annex G extension of the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC video compression standard. One of the leaders in implementing this standard is company Vidyo with their solution. It looks like the major problem with SVC  is interoperability betwen various implementations.
