Memory upgrade

Work on Toshiba Satellite A45 – S121 notebook can be very slow. So I did some research. The major reason probably is too small memory. It used to run OK, but latest antivirus software is occupying too much memory, and so virtual memory is paging a lot. In this moment there are two slots PC2100 SO-DIMM, each with 128MB, so notebook has total 256MB of physical memory. It would be nice to have at least 512MB (about $20), or maybe even 1GB ($40).There are several stores selling such memory card, like computermemoryoutlet.com.I am not sure if two different sizes of memory cards can be combined.
